OPAL is AI, so review important details. You stay in control of changes to your trip.
Can I call before I have an account?
Yes. Ask OPAL how Overlap works, how travelers connect, or where to begin. For help with your own trips, create an account and verify your mobile number first.
How do I continue a website chat by phone?
Call from the mobile number verified on your account soon after chatting. OPAL can pick up supported recent work for up to 10 minutes. It may ask for a texted code before discussing private details or changing a trip.
Can OPAL change my plans?
OPAL can help edit an existing upcoming trip. It shows or reads back the proposed change and asks you to confirm before saving. Add new trips, send messages, and manage connections on the website.
Can I text this number?
This is OPAL’s phone line. Start a conversation by calling, or use website chat. Text messages from Overlap may include verification codes and an optional post-call survey; the number is not a general texting inbox.
What if I need a person?
Email hello@overlaptrip.com for help from the Overlap team. OPAL is an AI assistant and cannot transfer your call to a person. For a problem with another traveler, use the report and block controls in Overlap.
